A RARE SWISS MODEL 1914 SAW-BACKED SWORD BAYONET FOR THE SCHMIDT RUBIN M1911 CARBINE, circa 1916, with 19in. steel blade edged to one side with saw-back to the other, single fuller on one side, ricasso marked 'WAFFENFABRIK / NEUHAUSEN' steel hilt and cross-guard numbered '848565', wooden grips, together with its black painted steel scabbard and brown leather frog stamped with 'boxed cross' and 'J', plus 'D. HEER / HORW / 45', bayonet close to mint, scabbard has paint worn away, frog with some wear, overall condition consistent with having been stored for a long period, 25in. overall
